AHTM was founded in 2020 by Dr. James Mitchell, a veteran biomedical services director who recognized a critical gap in healthcare technology education. While the demand for skilled biomedical equipment technicians continued to grow, traditional education programs remained inflexible, expensive, and inaccessible to working professionals.
Driven by a vision to democratize BMET education, Dr. Mitchell partnered with leading clinical engineers and educators to develop a comprehensive online curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on training. The result is an innovative, flexible, and affordable education platform that serves healthcare professionals worldwide.
Since our launch, AHTM has grown to serve over 500 active students and has graduated more than 1,200 biomedical equipment technicians. Our graduates work in hospitals, clinics, and medical device companies across the globe, advancing patient care and healthcare technology innovation.
